Henry V – a knockout success!

Our second Shakespeare at Ludlow Brewery was a big hit. We sold out five nights of seven and it was very rewarding to find an appreciative winter audience.

Our cast came together as a great team, for which we always strive. They spoke the text clearly and meaningfully, discovering just how good the acoustics are in the Brewery. And in the spectacular battle scenes they bashed sticks at each other with commitment and, thankfully, accuracy.

Thank you once again to Pete and staff at the Brewery for being so welcoming, to Liz Howard who managed front of house so efficiently, and special thanks to Carl Walker and Kate Farmer of Wild Edric Media who really enhanced this production with superb lighting and sound.

And thank you to all who supported the production including Friends of Ludlow Arts and of course the audience, particularly those who have written us comments, such as this: “All we can say is that the RSC has definitely been overtaken by the RTC”. Nice one!

Next one: The Tempest 30th June to 7th July, at the Brewery – further details to follow.
